Our BSc (Hons) Health, Wellbeing and Social Care with Foundation Year course offers a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare sector, equipping you with the skills and experiences necessary to make an impact after graduation.
The Foundation Year has been carefully designed to help develop your academic skills while introducing you to key concepts within health and social care. The knowledge you gain during this year will provide a solid foundation for your progression into the subsequent years of the course.
Over the next three years, the course will progressively delve into more advanced topics, focusing on critical areas such as the behavioural influences in healthcare provision and effective management strategies across the sector. Applicants must be aged 18+ and:
Have a Level 3 qualification (equivalent to either 60 credits or 80 UCAS tariff points).
Have the following qualifications: Five GCSEs at grade 4/C (including English) or above, or equivalent.
Be assessed via an interview for listening, speaking, and writing (more details are provided in the ‘Next Steps’ section).
Applicants Aged 21+:
We welcome applications from students aged 21+ who do not meet the standard entry requirements but can demonstrate a strong willingness and commitment to studying this subject, and who can provide evidence of academic, professional, or vocational experience in a related field.
They will be assessed via an interview for listening, speaking, and writing (more details are provided in the ‘Next Steps’ section).
